Professor Miles Wernick鈥檚 Predictive Policing Algorithm Mentioned in Chicago Tribune
Miles Wernick, Motorola Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Director of Medical Imaging Research Center (MIRC); and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Armour College of Engineering, was mentioned in a Chicago Tribune article for an algorithm he developed with the Chicago Police Department. The algorithm applies ten variables to gauge a person鈥檚 likelihood to be involved in violence in Chicago.
